New Graduate Student Orientation

New Graduate Student Orientation

On Wednesday, August 17, the Graduate School will sponsor a half-day orientation session for all new graduate students, including new international graduate students. This half-day session will be held at the Bryce Jordan Center from 1 to 5 p.m. and will be followed by the annual Graduate School Reception at 5 p.m. in the South Annex of the Bryce Jordan Center.

The afternoon session will cover important topics for new graduate students, including graduate student life and health insurance. All graduate students, both international and domestic on any form of assistance administered through the university, are automatically enrolled in the graduate assistant benefits program that will be covered during this session.

The health insurance session is mandatory for all new international graduate students.

Current graduate students will be offering optional one-hour campus tour for new graduate students starting at 10 a.m., prior to the orientation session. The tour will begin at the main entrance of the Kern Graduate Building (across the street from the library) and conclude at the HUB- Robeson Center. Graduate students will have ample time to get lunch before participating in the Orientation at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Refreshments (including water) will not be provided during the Orientation but will be available at the Reception.
